“Moscow University Bulletin. Series 13. Oriental Studies” is a peer-reviewed scholarly journal that focuses on Asian and African studies in various fields of research, such as history, politics, economics, sociology, culture, religion, literature and linguistics. The Journal also publishes papers on history of Oriental and African studies in Russia and methodology of Asian and African language learning and teaching, book reviews, review articles and information on the important conferences. Publication of series is coordinated by the Institute of Asian and African Studies, Lomonosov Moscow State University. The Journal was established in 1957 and is published every quarter (four issues a year).
The Higher Attestation Commission of The Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation has included the journal into the «List of the leading reviewed scientific journals and publications, in which the main scientific results of the theses for pursuance of Doctor of Science and Philosophy Doctor academic degrees should be published».
